About Cougar Point Golf Course
Cougar Point was the first golf course built on Kiawah Island, opening in 1976 as "Marsh Point" to a Gary Player design. Player returned in 1996 to substantially redesign the layout on the same footprint, renaming it Cougar Point, with further renovation work in 2017. Part of the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, the par-72 course runs along tidal marsh and the Kiawah River.
