Why we love this place

Countryside is the quiet, mountain-view nine you hope to find on a back road. Tree-lined, tidy and honest, with water on five holes, it rewards straight hitting and a good short game without ever taking itself too seriously.

About Countryside Golf Club

Countryside Golf Club opened for play in Dunbarton in 1963, a nine-hole public course designed by William F. Mitchell. It sits on Country Club Lane off Route 13 in rural Merrimack County, and its setting is its calling card: the course is known for scenic mountain views across the surrounding countryside. The par-36 layout rewards accuracy more than length. Its fairways are narrow and lined with trees, water comes into play on five holes, and the greens are undulating and moderately fast, so a tidy short game matters. Practice facilities include a driving range and a practice green. More than six decades after it opened, Countryside continues to operate as a daily-fee public course, offering an affordable nine holes in a quiet corner of central New Hampshire, with the option of going around twice for a full 18.
