We love the sense of escape at 'the Fox': tucked into the western Massachusetts hills, immaculately kept, and challenging without ever feeling unfair. It's the rare public course that plays like a private club, and every golfer we send there comes back grinning. A true New England gem.

About Crumpin-Fox Club
The Crumpin-Fox Club was conceived in 1969 as one man's 'Field of Dreams': an ambition to build a Pine Valley-caliber course in the hills of Bernardston in western Massachusetts. An original nine took shape in the following years, but the club earned its acclaimed modern form under architect Roger Rulewich, then working for Robert Trent Jones Sr. Rulewich added a new front nine, extensively renovated the back nine, planted bentgrass fairways and rebuilt the irrigation, and the full 18-hole layout opened in June 1990. Stretching past 7,000 yards from the tips with four sets of tees, the wooded, rolling course is consistently rated among the best public golf in Massachusetts. Its secluded, tree-lined setting and polished conditioning have made 'the Fox' a bucket-list stop for New England golfers.
