About Lake Course

The Lake Course was the original 18 at Carolina Trace Country Club in Sanford, NC, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1971 along the shores of Lake Trace. It predates the club's Creek Course by eight years, and a 2015 renovation reworked the bunkers and putting surfaces.
