The Lakes nine is part of Jack Nicklaus's 27-hole Signature design at the private Governors Club in Chapel Hill, NC, which opened in 1990. Relatively flat, it is defined by water fed by Overcup Creek and combines with the Foothills nine as the club's championship 18. The overall facility sits on a 1,600-acre property.
