About Lakewood Country Club

Lakewood Country Club was founded in 1912, making it Dallas's second 18-hole golf course, established by Collett Munger and George Aldredge. The original course was designed by Scottish architect Tom Bendelow. It was redesigned by Ralph Plummer in 1947, and Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore have since revitalized the layout. It remains a private club.
