Marine Park Golf Course

Est. 1964 · Robert Trent Jones Sr. (renovation by Stephen Kay)
Why we love this place

We love Marine Park because it is pure city golf. A Robert Trent Jones Sr. layout in Brooklyn, wind off the water, the Manhattan skyline on the horizon, and a public-course comeback story. Home of the Brooklyn Open and open to anyone with a tee time.

About Marine Park Golf Course

Marine Park Golf Course is a public 18-hole layout inside Brooklyn's Marine Park, along Flatbush Avenue in southeast Brooklyn. Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed the course, which marked its 50th anniversary in 2014. After years of neglect, the father-and-son team of Michael and Adam Giordano took over operations in 2009 and launched a long-term master plan to enhance the Jones design: holes were altered, the clubhouse was revamped and new practice facilities were built. Architect Stephen Kay shaped berms and mounds on holes 1-5 and 11-14 to give the flat, linksy course more definition. In October 2013 Marine Park hosted the inaugural Brooklyn Open Championship, and the 6,866-yard course frames views of the Manhattan skyline.
