About Maroon Creek Club
Maroon Creek Club is a private 18-hole course in Aspen, Colorado, that opened in 1995. Tom Fazio routed it at the base of Buttermilk Mountain, threading fairways alongside Maroon Creek amid dramatic Rocky Mountain vistas. The design balances wide, playable corridors with strategic bunkering and large, heavily contoured greens, rewarding thoughtful shot-making at altitude. In 2006 former Fazio associate Denis Wise reshaped the bunkers and improved drainage, refreshing the course while preserving Fazio's character. Playing to a par of 71 at just over 7,100 yards, Maroon Creek combines mountain scenery with a quiet, exclusive atmosphere, and stands among Colorado's most admired private clubs. Its setting, surrounded by aspen groves and high peaks, makes it a distinctly high-country golf experience.
