Mid South Club

The Mid South Club sits on 545 acres of longleaf pine forest, lakes and gentle hills in Southern Pines, NC, at the heart of North Carolina's Sandhills golf country near the Village of Pinehurst. Designed by Arnold Palmer and opened in 1995, it serves as the private sister course to the neighboring Talamore resort layout. Palmer's design is defined by its sweeping sandy waste areas, with some accounts crediting the course with roughly eleven acres of bunkering, along with wide, playable fairways and well-guarded greens that reward strategic positioning. The surrounding residential community is regarded as one of the Carolinas' most attractive. Over the years the course has served as a local qualifying site for USGA championships, reinforcing its standing as a serious test in a region defined by great golf.
