About Olympic Club Lake Course
The Lake Course has hosted five U.S. Opens (1955, 1966, 1987, 1998, 2012), famous for upsets of star favorites. In 1955 Jack Fleck beat Ben Hogan in a playoff, and in 1966 Billy Casper erased a seven-shot deficit to catch Arnold Palmer. Webb Simpson won the most recent Open there in 2012; the club has also hosted four U.S. Amateurs.
