About Presidio Hills Golf Course

An 18-hole par-3 course in Old Town, opened in 1932 and one of the oldest par-3 courses in the country. Civic leader George Marston pushed for it, and William P. Bell routed short holes (none over about 94 yards) through hollows and hills. The pro shop is the Casa de Carrillo, an early-1800s adobe often called San Diego's oldest home. Known as the "cradle of golf in San Diego," it hosted the 10-and-under Junior World Championships from 1968 to 2002, and Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Lorena Ochoa all won there.
