About Providence Golf Club

Providence Golf Club on South Providence Road is a public daily-fee course whose present layout opened in 2002, redesigned by Virginia architect Lester George. The original course on the site closed in 1985; extra land was used for six new holes while the original property got longer, more spacious holes. The course runs along Pocoshock Creek, which George used to create risk-reward holes.
