Quarry Ridge Golf Club

Est. 1993 · Al Zikorus (with Joe Kelley)
Why we love this place

Quarry Ridge is pure drama for a public course: tee shots framed by granite ledges, big elevation swings, and views across the Connecticut River valley that stop you mid-backswing. Bring extra balls and a camera, then settle in on the Terrazza patio afterward.

About Quarry Ridge Golf Club

Quarry Ridge Golf Course was built on rugged ground off Rose Hill Road in Portland, where its holes wind among rolling hills and exposed granite rock outcroppings. Al Zikorus and Joe Kelley designed the course, which opened in 1993 as a nine-hole layout; nine more holes followed in 1998 to complete the 18. The hilly site gives the par-72 course, about 6,400 yards from the back tees, steep elevation changes and long views over the Meshomasic State Forest and the Connecticut River. Quarry Ridge has changed ownership more than once since opening and today runs as a public course with online tee times, a men's club and a tournament schedule. Its clubhouse restaurant, Terrazza, and a banquet hall make it a regular host for golf outings and events, and the course operates from mid-March into early December.
