Shoreline Golf Links

Shoreline Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the City of Mountain View. It opened in 1983 as part of the 500-acre Shoreline Park, dedicated July 17, 1983. The site was bought in 1967 and used as a landfill for San Francisco garbage, which raised the ground above flood level; the city later built the park and course on top. Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed it, and it was remodeled in 1986-87 toward a links style. It had early problems with methane fires.
