Silverado Resort

The North Course anchors Silverado Resort in Napa Valley, set among the towering oaks and vineyards of the wine country. The layout was reworked by Robert Trent Jones Jr. in the mid-1960s, when the South Course was also added, and Hall of Famer and former resort owner Johnny Miller later revised it. The par-72 parkland design leans on classic strategy, with elevated greens, sculpted bunkering and creeks that repeatedly cross play, rewarding accuracy over raw power. Silverado has a deep tournament history: the North hosted the PGA Tour's Kaiser International Open from 1968 and the Anheuser-Busch Golf Classic that followed. In the modern era it became the Tour's fall-opening stop, staging the Safeway Open and then the Fortinet Championship each September, before that event's run concluded. Its blend of championship pedigree and resort accessibility keeps it among Napa's signature golf destinations.
