Sterling Grove opened for preview play in February 2021, a Nicklaus Design course led by Chris Cochran. It was the first new course open to public play in Arizona since 2016. Built on former farmland in Surprise with more than 1,700 trees, it anchors a Toll Brothers community and is planned to become private as the neighborhood fills in.
