The Breakers Ocean Course

The Ocean Course is nurtured by The Breakers and is widely regarded as Florida's oldest golf course, tracing its origins to an 1897 links laid out by Scottish-born professional Alexander H. Findlay during Henry Flagler's development of Palm Beach. The layout was later expanded and reshaped across the decades as the resort grew around it. Modern renovations include work attributed to Brian Silva around 2000 and a comprehensive redesign completed by Rees Jones in late 2018, which returned to the original spirit while modernizing the details. Jones said of the finished course that every hole carries a different little twist. Compact and walkable at a par of 70, it sits in the shadow of the landmark Breakers hotel, blending more than a century of history with contemporary conditioning just steps from the Atlantic.
