About Ocean Course at The Breakers
The Ocean Course at The Breakers is widely recognized as Florida's oldest golf course, its original seaside links laid out by Scottish-born architect Alexander H. Findlay for Henry Flagler's Palm Beach resort around 1896-97 and expanded to 18 holes by 1901. Six-time British Open champion Harry Vardon played it on his 1900 U.S. tour. It was modernized by Brian Silva in 2000 and later renovated under Rees Jones, but golf has been played continuously on the oceanfront site for well over a century. It is a resort course for Breakers guests and members.
