About Hyannisport Club

Hyannisport Club is a historic private club on Nantucket Sound established in 1897, when Scottish emigrant and USGA co-founder John Reid laid out the original six holes. Alexander Findlay designed a revamped nine-hole course around 1902, and the club expanded to 18 holes by 1913; Donald Ross redesigned the course in the 1930s, revising 14 of the 18 holes. Nicknamed the "St. Andrews of the East," it is strongly associated with the Kennedy family and was President John F. Kennedy's home course. Between 2007 and 2010, previously unused Ross master plans were finally implemented.
