Trinity Forest Golf Club

Trinity Forest sits about nine miles south of downtown Dallas, built on a reclaimed former landfill within one of the largest urban forests in the country. Founded in 2014, the club opened for play in the autumn of 2016 with a course by the acclaimed design partnership of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. Rather than a typical tree-lined Texas parkland, the pair created a treeless, links-inspired layout of wide fairways, firm ground and dramatically contoured greens, drawing on the minimalist philosophy behind their celebrated work at courses like Sand Hills. The open, windswept character is unusual for the region and for the PGA Tour. In May 2018 Trinity Forest hosted the AT&T Byron Nelson, marking the first PGA Tour event staged within the Dallas city limits in decades, and it served as host for several years. Its distinctive turfgrass and links aesthetic gave professionals an unfamiliar, ground-game challenge unlike anything else on tour.
