About Vaquero Club
Vaquero occupies a stretch of the former Circle T Ranch in Westlake, land once owned by the Hunt family, that Discovery Land Company transformed into an intensely private residential golf community. Tom Fazio designed the original eighteen holes, which opened in the fall of 2001 across roughly 525 rolling acres dotted with live oaks and quiet ponds. Fazio's par-71 routing earned a reputation as both beautiful and playable, artfully using the natural contours and distinctive bunkering. In the fall of 2023 the club unveiled a full redesign by architect Andrew Green, who reworked all eighteen holes and added new on-course amenity buildings and a starter house. Set among some of North Texas's most exclusive real estate, Vaquero pairs a highly regarded course with the seclusion its members prize.
