About Washington Y&Cc

Washington Yacht & Country Club opened for play in 1949 as a 9-hole facility, with the original nine designed by William Gordon, a charter member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. A second nine was built in 1977 by Gene Hamm, bringing it to 18 holes. The private layout plays about 6,531 yards to a par of 72 on the Pamlico River in Washington.
