White Clay Creek Country Club opened in 2005 on the grounds of Delaware Park, routed south and east of the racetrack William du Pont Jr. built in 1937, to complement the casino there. Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest designed it, their first Delaware course, with a supervised stream restoration and preserved wildlife habitat; White Clay Creek and Mill Creek both cut through the property. Strong storms flooded the creek several times during construction and washed out parts of the new course, which had to be rebuilt. KemperSports took over management in 2022. The club closed on Jan. 1, 2026, then reopened under new ownership on May 8, 2026. The par 72 plays to 7,007 yards.
