Why we love this place

Woodhaven is the neighborhood nine everyone wishes they had: family run, fairly priced, and anchored by a 570-yard par 5 that will test anybody. Grab the weekday hot dog special, stretch out on the range, and enjoy a quick, friendly loop in the Bethany hills.

About Woodhaven Country Club

Woodhaven Country Club is a public nine-hole course on Miller Road in Bethany, in the wooded hills north of New Haven. Course directories date its opening to 1968 and credit the design to Al Zikorus. The club is family owned and operated, and many longtime employees help keep its relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. The par-36 layout measures 3,387 yards from the back tees and is anchored by the sixth hole, a 570-yard par 5 that is the longest on the course. Golf Digest has named Woodhaven among its Best Places to Play, and the course has built a loyal following with value-minded touches such as a weekday hot dog special, a rewards card that turns ten nine-hole rounds into a free one, and discounted senior and junior rates. It also has a driving range, welcomes walkers, and stays open from dawn to dusk.
