Bass River Golf Course opened in 1900 as a private nine-hole club (green fees were 25 cents) and is one of New England's oldest public courses. In 1914 the town hired Donald Ross to redesign and expand the layout, making it the oldest Donald Ross design on Cape Cod; it features wide fairways, small greens and views of the Bass River. Owned and operated by the Town of Yarmouth, it celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2025.
