About Bryan Park - Champions Course

Greensboro voters approved a $2 million bond in 1985 for a second course at Bryan Park, the city park named for Joseph and Kathleen Bryan on Lake Townsend. Rees Jones designed it, and the Champions Course opened in March 1990, ranking second on Golf Digest's Best New Public Courses list that year. Seven holes run along the lake, with 97 bunkers. It hosted the 2010 U.S. Amateur Public Links.
