About Duxbury Yacht Club
The Duxbury Yacht Club was founded in 1875; its golf course traces to 1901 when six holes were laid out on nearby farm meadows. It was expanded to nine holes in the 1920s to a Wayne Stiles design, renovated in 1951 under William Mitchell, and extended to 18 holes by Geoffrey Cornish and William Robinson in 1969. The private South Shore club offers golf, tennis, paddle, swimming and sailing.
