Longmeadow Country Club was established in 1922 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs in western Massachusetts. The 18-hole championship course was designed by Donald Ross, whose influence is especially evident in the green complexes and routing. The course historically served as a proving ground for golf equipment made by the Spalding Co. of nearby Chicopee.
