Pinehills is a 36-hole daily-fee destination set in the pine-and-kettle terrain of Plymouth, Massachusetts, part of a large master-planned community. The Rees Jones layout opened first in 2001, followed a year later in 2002 by the Nicklaus Design course shaped by Jack Nicklaus II. Both routings wind across rolling glacial moraine draped in tall native pines, with wide corridors, elevation changes and firm, sandy soil that drains fast and rewards a ground game. The Jones course stretches past 7,100 yards and leans on strategic width and angled greens, while the Nicklaus course emphasizes precise approach play, prompting frequent comparisons to the Sandhills feel of Pinehurst. Together the two eighteens have become one of New England's most respected public golf pairings, praised for conditioning, variety and a genuine championship test.
