Pronghorn

Pronghorn is a 36-hole resort in the high desert north of Bend, Oregon, now part of the Juniper Preserve property. Its first course, a Jack Nicklaus Signature design, opened in June 2004 and is regarded as the original desert-style golf experience in the Pacific Northwest, routed across lava outcroppings, junipers, and sagebrush with the Cascades on the horizon. It opened to acclaim, earning a high ranking among America's best new private courses. A second eighteen from Tom Fazio followed a few years later as a members-focused layout, giving the resort two distinct championship courses of contrasting character. Over time the Nicklaus course opened to public and resort play while the Fazio remained more exclusive. The combination of dramatic high-desert terrain, big elevation, and two marquee architects on one property has made Pronghorn a fixture on national public and resort course rankings.
