Reynolds Great Waters

The Great Waters course at Reynolds Lake Oconee is a Jack Nicklaus design that opened in 1992, located in Greensboro, Georgia, roughly halfway between Atlanta and Augusta. Laid out along the shores of Lake Oconee, the par-72 course is best known for a back nine that repeatedly brings the water into play, with holes edging coves and inlets in dramatic fashion while the front nine winds through Georgia pines and rolling terrain. Nicklaus and his design team varied each encounter with the lake, offering generous bailout options rather than forced heroics. The course underwent a renovation in 2019 to improve turf, airflow, and irrigation. Consistently ranked among the top public courses in the country, Great Waters is regarded as the crown jewel of the Reynolds Lake Oconee community's collection of championship layouts.
