Riverbend Country Club was established in 1957, when Press Maxwell carved the course out of a pecan orchard on a cattle farm along Oyster Creek; it is the oldest member-owned private club in Fort Bend County. Joe Finger reconfigured holes in 1972, Carlton Gipson modernized the layout in 1988, and Jeffrey Blume renovated portions in 2010 and 2019. Mature trees frame every hole and water affects about 14.
