The South Course at The Club at Sonterra is a Press Maxwell design opened in 1954, the club's original and more traditional 18. It meanders among acres of large oak trees with heavily tree-lined Bermuda fairways and Tif-Eagle greens, playing tighter off the tee with fewer forced carries and smaller greens than the 1985 Devlin/von Hagge North Course.
