The Riverside course is one of the two 18-hole courses at the private Greenville Country Club, set along the Reedy River. It was originally laid out on a topographic map by Donald Ross (c. 1919-1923) and built on site by architect William B. Langford, opening July 4, 1923. Greenville native George Cobb redesigned it around 1962 to incorporate land across the Reedy River, and in 2006-2007 Brian Silva completely redesigned the course in a Seth Raynor style.
