Tekoa Country Club traces its origins to 1890 as a four-hole course on Western Avenue in Westfield, evolving into a country club after a grand clubhouse was added in 1911. In 1923 Donald Ross redesigned it into nine holes; five of those original Ross holes reportedly survive today. In 1961 Western Massachusetts architect Geoffrey Cornish expanded the course to a full 18 holes, retaining the five Ross holes and adding 13 of his own.
