About Williams College Taconic Golf Course

Taconic Golf Club occupies land owned by Williams College, with golf on the site dating to an 1896 pasture course. The modern 18-hole layout was designed by Wayne Stiles of the Boston firm Stiles & Van Kleek: construction began in August 1927 and the par-73 course was completed by Labor Day 1928. Known for bold, severely sloped greens and extensive bunkering, it is a historic Stiles design that has hosted NCAA championships, run as a semi-private club on Williams-owned land.
