Benvenue Country Club was established in 1922 in Rocky Mount, and its 18-hole course is attributed to architect Donald Ross. The club celebrated its 95th anniversary in 2017 and remains a long-standing private club in the Eastern North Carolina golf community; grass greens were installed in 1946.
