About Pinehurst No. 3

Pinehurst No. 3 was Donald Ross's third course at the resort. It's usually dated to 1910, though Golf Club Atlas says it first opened as nine holes in 1907. It's the shortest of Pinehurst's 18-hole courses, a par 68 of small, crowned greens. Some original holes were taken in 1961 for No. 5, so a few holes today were built as replacements. The course was renovated in 2017 to bring back Ross's original features.
