Est. 1926 · Donald Ross (original 1926 nine); consolidated/redesigned by Bobby Weed (2021-2023)
About Waynesville Inn & Golf Club
The club traces to 1926, when Donald Ross laid out the original "Carolina" nine on a former dairy farm in the mountains near Asheville. A second nine was added around 1929 and a third by Tom Jackson in 1986, giving the resort 27 loosely connected holes. Beginning in 2021 under new ownership, architect Bobby Weed consolidated the 27 holes into a single 18-hole Weed/Ross course, reviving Ross's original holes; the renovation was completed in 2023. It now operates as the Waynesville Inn & Golf Club, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.
