About Westwood Golf Club

Westwood Golf Club, founded in 1928 as Westwood Country Club, is the second-oldest private club in Houston still on its original site. John Bredemus, the "Father of Texas Golf," laid out the course, which opened as nine holes in 1930; Ralph Plummer added a second nine in 1957 and Joe Finger reworked holes in 1970. In 2002 the members had Keith Foster redesign the par-72 course.
