Boyne Resorts - Hills Course

The Arthur Hills course is the newest of the championship layouts at The Highlands, formerly Boyne Highlands, in Harbor Springs, Michigan. Named for its architect, Arthur Hills, the course opened its first nine holes in 1995 and expanded to a full eighteen in 1999. Hills carved the routing into the hilliest, most heavily wooded corner of the property, producing dramatic elevation changes, tumbling fairways and secluded holes framed by hardwoods and evergreens. Trademark Hills features are on display: wide landing areas off the tee, large sculpted bunkers and greens that reward well-shaped approaches. The layout is regarded as the stiffest test on the resort, carrying the highest course and slope ratings among the four Highlands courses. Its mix of seclusion, scenery and demanding shot values has made it a favorite among stronger players seeking the property's toughest challenge and a fitting complement to the classic designs alongside it.
