Pine Meadow Golf Club

Pine Meadow sits on land with an unusual pedigree in Mundelein, once part of the St. Mary of the Lake Seminary estate, where an early course was laid out in the 1920s during Cardinal Mundelein's era. The Jemsek family leased the property in the early 1980s, and the modern Pine Meadow opened in August 1985 as a redesign by architects Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore. The debut made an immediate splash: Golf Digest named it the nation's best new public course in 1986. Routed through mature pines and gently rolling terrain with no homes crowding the fairways, it has endured as one of the Chicago area's most respected daily-fee layouts, prized for its walkable character, conditioning and quiet, parkland feel a short drive from the northern suburbs.
