About Shepherd's Hollow
Shepherd's Hollow Golf Club is a public 27-hole facility in Clarkston, Michigan, about 30 miles north of Detroit. Designed by Arthur Hills, the first nine opened in 2000 and the full complement of holes followed in 2001. The course occupies more than 350 rolling, heavily wooded acres at one of the higher elevations in Oakland County, with holes carved through a mature forest of towering red pines and oaks. The secluded routing gives each hole a private, tranquil feel, with elevation changes, wetlands and native areas framing the fairways. Its 18-hole championship configuration earned a place on Golf Digest's list of America's 100 Greatest Public Courses for several years in the 2000s. The clubhouse and grounds also make it a popular wedding and event venue. Shepherd's Hollow is widely regarded as one of Michigan's finest daily-fee experiences.
