TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas

TPC Las Colinas opened in 1982 in Irving, between Dallas and Fort Worth, from a design by Jay Morrish with input from Texas legend Byron Nelson and a young Ben Crenshaw. The course became the long-running home of the PGA Tour's Byron Nelson tournament, an event named for the hometown champion, and across its decades hosting the stop it crowned winners including Tiger Woods, Fred Couples, Payne Stewart and Crenshaw himself. Beginning in 1994, the resort's neighboring Cottonwood Valley course was pressed into service for the tournament's early rounds to guard against weather delays. A comprehensive 2008 renovation by D.A. Weibring and Steve Wolfard modernized the championship layout, sharpening its bunkering and water features. Part of the Four Seasons resort complex, it remains one of North Texas's best-known tournament venues.
